Margins are under increasing pressure so it is important to maximise production without interruption and find innovative ways to reduce operating costs.
An efficiently run wastewater or water treatment plant can help keep these costs low, and crucially, minimise downtime.

There are various water and wastewater treatment processes that can treat water for reuse. Our specialist engineering team can provide bespoke solutions to help you recover and reuse water on site. Here are some popular uses that could significantly reduce water consumption and discharge costs.
Heat and energy from waste can be generated through Anaerobic Digestion, where microorganisms break down organic matter to produce biogas. Biogas can be used to create heat and power. The by-product, digestate, can be used as a fertiliser or dried to use as a fuel to produce energy. Here are some examples of how biogas can be used to reduce costs:
Combined heat and power: Heat and power created can be reused in the process, and the energy created can be used to power the treatment plant or manufacturing facility.
Gas to boilers: Cleaned gas can be supplied to on-site steam boilers. The Glenmorangie Company (who are one of our Operations and Maintenance customers) clean the raw biogas generated and feed it directly to a steam boiler.
Gas to grid: Cleaned gas can be sold back to the grid as an income stream, where the energy is not to be used on site.
