Alpheus Board

Tony is Chairman of Alpheus and its’ sister companies Celtic Anglian Water, Anglian Water Business National, AWG Utilities and AWG Property Ltd. He is responsible for implementing the strategic direction of these businesses which have a combined turnover of £500million across the UK and Ireland. He has over 25 years’ experience within the Anglian Water Group having previously held a variety of senior positions at Board level.

As Managing Director, Mark is responsible for delivering the long-term strategic vision of Alpheus and the management of a wide range of strategic projects and collaborations.

With more than 25 years’ experience in the water industry, Mark is a Chartered Biologist and holds an MBA from City University, London.

Wayne is Finance Director for Anglian Venture Holdings. This group of companies includes Alpheus, Celtic Anglian Water, AWG Utilities and Anglian Water Business National, the retail division of the Anglian Water Group which operates across England and Scotland. He has been with the Anglian Water Group since 2002, having performed a number of group finance roles working with shareholders and investors before moving into Anglian Venture Holdings in 2015.

Declan, our Operations Director, is responsible for the operation and management of all Alpheus water and wastewater treatment projects and contracts (including budget control) and the management of all Alpheus design and build contracts.

Declan has an MBA from Dublin City University.

Management Team

David joined the company in 2010.  He has overall responsibility for the company’s accounting function and monitoring, financial reporting and guidance for all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.

David has an MBA from Henley Business School and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA). He has more than 16 years’ experience within the Anglian Water Group

Chris joined Alpheus in 2016 having worked for our sister company Anglian Water Business. He is responsible for driving compliance and ensuring consistently high standards of customer service. In particular, Chris looks for innovative ways of delivering services to customers and driving value from outsourced operations.

Chris has a strong operations background with over 11 years’ experience in the water industry and holds an MSc from Cranfield University

Angela is Director of Marketing for Anglian Venture Holdings which is the holding company of Alpheus and its sister companies: Anglian Water Business, CAW and AWG Utilities. Angela is responsible for implementing the strategic marketing direction for Alpheus. This involves ensuring all marketing and communications plans adhere to brand values and raise Alpheus’ profile to meet business objectives.

Steve has over 20 years experience in the industrial and municipal water sectors, with knowledge of process water chemistry and technology  through to the treatment and recycling of wastewater.

This experience has been invaluable in helping his clients achieve their environmental and operational savings goals.

Having joined the company in 2001, Ming is involved in a wide range of activities including process optimisation, front-end feasibilities, engineering design, and delivery of capital projects on water and wastewater assets.

He is responsible for managing a Projects/Engineering team and for the successful delivery of all capital and engineering projects. Ming is a chartered chemical engineer having gained his university education in China and a PhD at Bradford University.

Paul is an Applied Chemist with over 30 years’ experience in the water and wastewater industry in both the municipal and industrial sectors.

He joined Alpheus in 2003 and has developed our service offering to industrial and municipal clients for both capital projects and operations & maintenance. Paul's process knowledge and commercial skills have allowed him to develop robust and cost-effective solutions to client process and operational challenges.

Scott is the Company Health Safety Environment Quality (HSEQ) Officer and has worked at Alpheus for 22 years. During Scott’s time with Alpheus he has worked in various operational roles throughout the business.

He is qualified as a Lloyds Quality Register Lead Auditor (LQRA) and as a QCF (Quality Curriculum Framework) trainer enabling the delivery of WAMITAB (Waste Management Industry Training Advisory Board) award. Scott is responsible for managing HSEQ processes and systems throughout the business.

Joining Alpheus in 2008, Paula is responsible for managing the operations crew and support office team to deliver a range of O&M contracts for wastewater and high-purity water treatment facilities.

Paula is a Chemical Engineer and holds a Master’s Degree in Water and Wastewater Technology from Cranfield University.

Joining Alpheus in 2000, Marcus is responsible for managing the delivery of our field operations throughout the UK. With over 20 years in the industry, he is a highly experienced and practical-minded Mechanical Engineer, and ensures that our high standards of safety, performance, quality and compliance are consistently delivered by his team of experienced engineers. He also has a strong focus on cost efficiency, working closely with our clients to develop and deliver opportunities. Marcus holds an HNC in Engineering and various Managerial and Safety qualifications, including IOSH (ms).

Holly is responsible for the day-to-day management of operations contracts, ensuring all operations work is carried out in line with contractual obligations. She is also focused on delivering levels of service to all our customers.

Neil is responsible for the operation and management of Alpheus’ four Tankered Waste Services sites (including budget control), and the scheduling and control of Alpheus’ brokerage and routine tankering service.

He has over 10 years’ experience within the Anglian Water Group having previously held a number of roles within the regulated business. He was involved in a number of operations for many of the current WASC s as a contractor before joining the group.

Graham joined the Anglian Water Group 7 years ago and has worked in a variety of strategic HR roles during his time at AWG. Graham is an experienced HR professional and has over 16 years experience focusing specifically on managing transition programmes and restructures, as well as managing HR initiatives in the areas of Reward, Organisational Design, Recruitment and Organisational Development. Graham holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and a MSc in Occupational Psychology.
